#1 NHTI 77 - #5 Central Penn College 86
UNIONTOWN, PA – In the Men's Division II basketball consolation bracket the Central Penn Knights defeated the NHTI Lynx by a score of 86-77. The Lynx, the top seed in the Men's Division II bracket, made things interesting at the end to get within four with two minutes remaining. The Knights responded by making five straight free-throws to secure the victory.
Central Penn was led by USCAA All-American Devon Dorsey with 25 points and 12 rebounds in a dominating performance in the paint. The Knights also received a big game off of the bench from Arnold Conner with 15 points on 5-11 shooting. Lamar Drayton added 10 points and Wes Kirkland grabbed 13 rebounds to help Central Penn finish their season on a high-note.
USCAA All-American Ahntwan Harris led the Lynx' comeback attempt, finishing with 28 points (11-23) on the strength of 6-14 shooting from beyond the arc. Overall, NHTI struggled from the field finishing the game shooting only 37% from the field, 26% from three-point range, and connecting on only 5-14 (35.7%) shots from the free-throw line.
