ON THE COURT: Despite being outrebounded by 5 in the first half, the Owls held a 32-27 advantage heading into intermission. The Owls were able to convert 10 points off of 14 first half Clipper turnovers.
USCAA 1st Team All-American, Ty Johnson, scored 7 of his game-high 29 points during the Owls 15-5 run to begin the second half to increase their lead to 15 with fifteen minutes remaining. Led by Floyd Higgins and Dreu Johnson, the Clippers were able to get within six with six minutes remaining in the game, however, 22 Clipper turnovers allowed the Owls to hold off the late Clipper rally. For the game, the Owls scored 24 points off of 22 Clipper turnovers on their way to shooting 50% from the field.
Also chipping in for Warren Wilson College was, EJ Patterson, who recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds. Floyd Higgins paced the Clippers with a team-high 16 points and 9 rebounds.
