Berkeley College (NY) Advance to the Finals of the 2015 USCAA Men's Division II National Championships
After two thrilling overtime periods the second-seeded Berkeley College (NY) defeats sixth-seeded College of St. Joesph's (VT) to advance to the 2015 USCAA Men's Division II National Championship.

ON THE COURT
- These two Knight teams battled back and forth throughout the majority of the first half. It wasn't until 5:12 left in the first half was Berkeley able to make it a two possession game courtesy of a made layup by Keenan Langston.
- One minute later the College of St. Joseph's (VT) would answer with a 3-point jumpshot by Steven Edwards and a 3-point play by 2015 USCAA Honorable Mention All-American Kashean Alston.
- Berkeley answered that rally with a pair of made layups by Stephon Jennings and Kenton Chan-Man.
- From that point on Berkeley College went on a 13-6 run and headed into halftime with the momentum and a 9-point advantage.
- Berkeley picked up where they left off increasing their lead to as much as 14 points with 14 minutes left in the game
- College of St. Joseph's (VT) eventually bounced back cutting the Berkeley (NY) lead to just 4 with 4:30 left in the second half after a pair of made free throws by Kyle Houston and Josh McAfee.
- With just 6 seconds left and trailing by 2 points McAfee came up huge for his Rutland, Vermont team hitting a layup. Berkeley (NY) made a final attempt to win the game but after a missed jump shot by Kenton Chan-Man followed by an offensive rebound and missed layup by Daquan Seymour as time expired.
- The next 5 minutes was a back and forth battle that resulted in nothing more than a one possession advantage for either team at any point.
- With just :38 seconds remaing Kashean Alston gave his team the lead on a made jumper from the top of the key. However, 2015 First Team All-American Kenton Chan-Man was able to convert a layup to tie the game once again.
- After a steal and missed jumpshot by Travis Threewitts the game would head to a second overtime.
- Berkeley (NY) started off strong to open up the second OT going up 5 points in the first minute and a half.
- The College of St. Joesph's (VT) rallied and a took the one point advantage with just 1:37 remaining but Kenton Chan-Man once again came to the rescue for the Knights from New York, converting a layup with just 13 seconds remaining to tie the game and force a third OT.
- In the final OT, Berkeley (NY) started off strong once again securing a 7-point lead with just 1 minute remaining. Berkeley finished the College of St. Joesph's (VT) off by a final score of 115-111.
BEHIND THE BOXSCORE
- 2015 USCAA Honorable Mention All-American Kashean Alston led all scorers with 31 points (11-23 FG). The Senior Guard from Brooklyn, NY also finished with 10 rebounds.
- Senior Forward Nolan Emory also recorded a double-double (11 points, 14 rebounds).
- Sophomore Forward Josh McAfee ended the game with 26 points (9-18 FG).
- Berkeley College (NY) shared the scoring lead between Daquan Seymour and Kenton Chan-Man (21 points).
- Stephon Jennings (18 points, 15 rebounds) and Daquan Seymour (21 points, 14 rebounds) each finished with double-doubles. Berkeley finished with 6 players in double figures.
- Each team's benches came to play in this hard fought semi-final matchup with Berkeley (NY) holding the slight advantage in that stat category (37-32).
- St. Joseph's (VT) shot 76 percent from the free throw line, converting 29 of 38 attempts while Berkeley(NY) shot just 52 percent (29-56).
