IN BRIEF: The top seeded College of St. Joseph's Vermont Fighting Saints defeated the Penn State Fayette Fighting Lions 81-56 in the Women's Division II quarterfinal match up. In a game that was close early, College of St. Joseph's pulled away late in the first quarter and would never look back.
ON THE COURT
- Jazsala Laracuente of Fighting Saints made the first three pointer of the game inside the opening three minutes to give her team a 7-6 advantage. From there, College of St. Joseph's-Vermont would expand the lead to 20-14 going into the second quarter.
- In the second quarter, Fayette was able to cut the lead down to seven after Lyndsey Huhn sank a three pointer. Courtney Haines would follow with a pull up jumper during the next possession, but that would be as close as the Roaring Lions would get the rest of the way.
- College of St. Joseph's-Vermont held an eight point advantage at half. The Saints would turn it on at the start of the third and fourth quarters, including a 7-2 run to start the fourth that stretched their advantage to 61-44.

- College of St. Joseph's-Vermont continues their outstanding season following a defeat in last year's National Championship game to Penn State Beaver. The Fighting Saints have not lost since November 28th.
