Uniontown, PA – In a game featuring two teams looking to end their season on a high-note after disapointing first-round performances, The Apprentice School Builders defeated Victory University Eagles 81-70 in their Men's Division I consolation game.
USCAA All-American Tevin Andrews led the way for the sixth-seeded Builders tallying 27 points and 16 rebounds in an outstanding performance. Johnnie Ferebee and Darrell Fenton each chipped in 12 points in the winning effort. The Apprentice School won the battle of the boards, edging Victory University 55-44 in total rebounds.
The seventh-seeded Eagles were led by USCAA All-American Keron Jackson, contributing 16 points and 13 rebounds. Sophmore Center Jordan Miles added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Victory got off to a slow start early, shooting just 27% (10-37) from the field and 6.3% (1-16) from beyond the arc in a second-straight slow start that would ultimately prove too much to overcome.
