No. 3 Rochester College holds on for 82-75 win over no. 6 St. Joseph's College Brooklyn
Paris Pereira led all scorers with 22 points and dished out seven assists as no. 3 Rochester College held off a pesky St. Joseph's College Brooklyn team for an 82-75 win in a Men's Division I quarterfinal game on Wednesday. David Louison paced the Bears with 19 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

ON THE COURT
- The Bears begun the game on a 9-4 run to set the pace of the game. Rochester quickly bounced back to tie the game at 17 with 11:37 left in the first half on an Evan Walker layup.
- From that point on Rochester pulled away and extended their lead to 11 on a Jereon De Baat dunk that got the entire Warriors bench off their seats.
- The Bears bounced back and headed into halftime with a 4-point deficit.
- Rochester shot out of the gate in the second half, going on an 18-1 run by the 17 minute mark
- From that point on Rochester kept the momentum until just before the closing minutes of the game. St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn made a late 4th quarter rally, cutting Rochester's lead to just 6.
- However, the sixth-seeded Bears would not escape the losers bracket as Rochester was able to capitalize late from the charity stripe and advance to the semi-finals of the USCAA Basketball National Championships
BEHIND THE BOXSCORE
- Louison's 14 rebounds came at both ends of the floor as he pulled down two more offensive rebounds than he did defensive (8 to 6).
- Alec Willis and Matt O'Neill joined Louison in double figures for the Bears, finishing with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
- Rochester outrebounded St. Joe's, 44-35, and won the turnover battle. The Warriors committed only 12 turnovers while forcing 16.
- Milton Cribbs led the Warriors with 11 rebounds. He also added 18 points.
- Both teams shot reasonably well, as Rochester finished 30-for-65 (46.2 percent), including 50 percent in the first half. St. Joseph's went 26-for-58 (44.8 percent). St. Joe's held a slight advantage from behind the arc, shooting 42.9 percent to Rochester's 41.2 percent.
- Rochester got to the free throw line twice in the first half, and 22 times in the second half. All 15 of their makes from the charity stripe came in the second half.
- Matt Gold and Jeroen De Baat each poured in 10 points for Rochester College, rounding out the scorer's in double figures. Gold also added seven steals and four assists.
